Job Description

  Public Finance Investment Banking Analyst An internship that I had that actually turned into a full time job offer is the role of an investment banking analyst. Specifically, it is in the public finance sector. This means instead of raising money for the usual corporations, I am instead funding school districts, local governments, and hospitals. Basically anything that is used by the public and that needs funding, they get from investment banks. This sector of investment banking is pretty niche, so since not many people really know about it I can separate it into an overview of the job and my duties. Who You Are Matters

 Where I come from: I am from San Jose, California. It's called the, "Capital of Silicon Valley" and shows from all the tech companies that are headquartered there. Where I am going and how I will get there: I will be going into investment banking after my graduation. I already have the offer and finished an internship so as long as I pass the rest of my classes this semester, everything will work out. How I am like my parents: My parents instilled a hard work ethic in me. They taught me the usefulness of hard work and determination by struggling through their life to give me a better one.  How I am unlike my parents: My father never went to college and my mother only went later in life, after kids and her first career. I am unlike them in that I am the first in my family to go to college right out of high school. Expectations: I can confidently say I am operating under my own expectations.
